Who runs this site

GiftPick is operated by webshark. For anything about your data, write to hello@letterpick.co.

What we collect

No account, no login, no email capture. Your answers to the tool are held in the page while you use it and are gone when you close the tab; they are not sent to us.

One exception: the optional note. After the quiz you can type a short note about the person you are buying for. If you do, that note and your quiz answers are sent to our own serverless function (hosted on Vercel) and from there to Anthropic, the AI provider whose model writes the personalised line on each pick. We do not store the note. Anthropic processes it under its API privacy terms. Leave the box empty and nothing is sent anywhere. Please do not type names or anything private — it is not needed.

Share links. If you copy a share link, your answers — including the note, if any — are in the link itself. Anyone you send it to can read them.

Cookies

We set none. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to: no advertising cookies, no social pixels, no session recording, nothing stored on your device by this site. When you follow a link to Amazon, that site may set its own cookies to attribute the referral to us; those belong to Amazon and are governed by its privacy policy.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not identify you or track you across sites. It records aggregate page views, referrers and country; we see numbers, not people. The script is served from this site's own domain, not a third party. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site is used. Details are in Vercel's analytics privacy notes.

GiftPick is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no additional cost to you. The programme reports clicks and items ordered to us in aggregate; it never tells us who you are, your address or your account details.

Hosting

The site is served by Vercel, which processes standard request logs (IP address, browser, page requested) to deliver pages and protect against abuse, under Vercel's privacy policy. We load nothing from any other third party.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing of your personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Since we hold none, there is usually nothing to act on — but write to us and we will answer within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the change and a new date appear on this page.
